I have a first generation I pad running 5.1.1 Looking at this game specs I should be able to play it. So far I cant even open the app. I just want to play and enjoy a great game. I have taken many steps to try and fix the problem such as uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. Restarting the I pad. Etc... I dont know how to send a message to the developers but I will try. I will change this rating if I can fix the issue and I can try the game. Until then I guess Im out the price of the app with nothing to show for it.... .... This looks like a great game.

Ill change my review to 5 stars which this game otherwise deserves, but the latest update has derped the CPU so that they only focus on money, not VPs. Now unplayable. Please fix.

The AI is bugged only going for gold. In addition you cant use any buildings where you spend money

As others have noted: the AI is broken! AI Players only go for gold! Fix it.

Great board game and great iOS adaptation.

I own this game for about 2 weeks now and already played it few times more than my "real" edition. Quickness of play rules. I only dream about tougher AI opponents and more online players worldwide. Chlopaki z Big Daddy Creations - BRAWO, teraz czekam na Eclipse :D

Great app to start with the game, great to play and get challenge or master the skills. I still did not try the multiplayer, but soon hope to check. Obligatory app for all boardgamers :)

Great app of great game. Absolutly worth to buy if you are into boardgames.

Used to be a great game, but the last update ruined the AI - single player game not challenging at all now.

Game crashes after I have built new part of castle and get a bonus "change any good to another". Since I did not own any more goods, the game crashed and now i cant resume this game.

Multiplayer is not working on iOS8. We were trying 4 games today and all 4 were crashed on some point of the game. After it crushed we were not able to get back to game session as application continue to crash. The only way is to start a new session... Until it will crash. I annoyed by this game as much as I like Neuroshima Hex from this developer.

Excellent porting. Sometimes the AI is a bit slow and if you dont know how the game works it may be hard to understand whats going on in the background (like turn sequence, provost placement or buildings stack). Nevertheless the app is amazing and there are tons of options and possibilities. As I said before the AI may be occasionally slow, but its really challenging and never trite. Game crashed at first game after final scoring and right before telling me I was the winner... suuucks big time after a 1 hour play to have the game crash right in front of you instead of declaring you the winner. Please fix and will change rating to 5 stars. iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1

Too easy for an expert player, but a very good game!

Teach your bots that the aim of the game is to score victory points, not to increase money. If you play a solo game, no bot will try to build a single castles section. Maybe on line it could work better, although in some moments of the game you could not understand whats happening: ok, it say turn and youre asking me for a check... But for what?!? And theres no way to see the part of the board under the banners of the players...

Caylus is a masterpiece: great game by all means. This app has good graphics and recreates the pleasure of playing, but has a MINIMAL AI - playing vs the iPad is no challenge at all, I just won a game with 108 points, against 12 of the first contender...

The layout, flow, and information presented during the game play are completely non-intuitive. The tutorial is of no use. I have read that this is a great game , I hope that I can eventually figure this app out, so that I can find out.
