Randomly crashes during first turn on iPod touch.

Just great!

A very animated version of the original board game. If u have not played the board game the in game tutorial will not be enough. Watched some video explanations of the game mechanics and printed off 2 sets of rules. By the second game it clicked and I got it. A very deep and rewarding game. U can really get immersed in it and all the choices. Brilliant game. Awesome purchase for sure.

Difficult to learn, just like the board game, but very rewarding.

Perfect app of an incredible board game. Caylus as a game is a work of art, actions and resource collection mixed with shrewd ecomics and careful planning. As the king of worker placement games, the gameplay is tight and skillful, as the psychology behind each move creates a game that can work on many levels for different types of gamers and different strategies. As an app, the theme is even more deeply integrated with a superb interface and excellent graphics. The depiction of the board and playing pieces removes the abstract feel of the board game and ties in the theme perfectly. A strong selection of computer controlled opponents and multiplayer options also helps this app stand above many of the other board game apps onipad. Long live the king!

AI isnt the best, but thats to be expected. Would give 5 stars if it allowed you to save more than one game at a time. Would love to see more strategy games made into apps (puerto rico plz).

Fantastic implementation, but it would be lovely to have some Game center integration and local WiFi/Bluetooth support.

After putting 50+ hours into Neuroshima Hex, I knew Caylus would be an insta-buy for me. Big Daddys Creations did not disappoint; Caylus is near perfect. I had not played the game before, but I found that the included instructions and tutorial were sufficient to learn the basics. At this early stage, the Apprentice level AI provides an appropriate challenge. I hope I can count on clever and devious AI waiting for me in the higher difficulties. Bottom Line: this is one of the 3 best board games on iOS.

Hadnt played the board game before but took a chance based on the reviews. Did not disappoint. Good tutorial, decent AI, challenging learning curve and excellent replay-ability. For fans Of Catan, Carcassone, etc.

Games tend to be fairly short, Ive never reached the final building spaces.

Its great to be able to play against the computer and to have all the little transactions nicely tracked. Very nice controls and graphics.

good game, nice execution. its beautiful, and the interface works for the platform. but i found that on my ipad first gen, it crashed every so often, and sometimes would get very slow, even when other apps were turned off.

A strong AI (even at the "easy" level), complex gameplay and good graphics make this pretty much the best board game available in the app store at the moment.

A perfect implementation of one of the greatest board games. I dont get to play the actual board game as often as I would like, so this fills that niche for me wonderfully and gives me a chance to improve my game.

Great game however you dont get a point when others use your buildings. This leaves the game needing an update as its a large over site. I would highly recommend this game however. Production quality and sound a+.

Great game for practice, if you cant find people to play the board version as much as you would lie. Caylus is such a awesome game with many paths to victory. Every game is different, so there is replay value. There is a unfair advantage for the AI , when they build the castle they only have to pay 2 resources, the first time it appears, instead of the 3 the rules state. This is a huge advantage to the AI, also there also seems to be a flaw in the provost position, when it is sitting on an AI space , the space is still activated, but when a human is sitting on the provost position it is not. I am sure when they update these will be addressed. It would have also received 5 stars if these flaws werent present

Strong AI, beautiful graphics, and easy interface make this a must-have. The game itself is genius, you cant fake your way through it, you need all your brains and focus to win. Enjoy!

I recommend for those who love this kind of board games. The asynchronous online options works perfectly.

Never played the board game. But this adaptation takes a few games to get used to all the options. Good strategy game. I like playing with the AI. Recommended
